The chord progressions, melodies and drum production across their music let’s me know they have a deeper talent realm within music. A quick related video search on Youtube reinforced what I suspected that members of the trio do play instruments. I knew somehow this would be a factor, which brings a very noticeable additional element to the progression of their sound and musicianship… I love how it all connects together!
Nadine’s the quirky cool chick you come across at times in your life, you don’t know why you admire her but you find your self vibing to her energy, She’s similar to things you know and like but there is an unorthodox nature that makes her special.
Music artist should be authentic, you should get to know them through their music, There shouldn’t be an invisible force field separating the listener from the artist, its should be an experience that’s close to the energy when the artist was creating… At least that’s what I think and Pat Delivers that realism.
I love the fact in interviews she has a shy confidence … its like she fully doesn’t know yet how dope she is (Isn’t that a beautiful thing) she hasn’t been industry tarnished (Yet or hopefully NEVER WILL) She’s giving us the pureness. I appreciate and Love that!
In a world of musicians living fabricated lives on social networks what happens to the guys who just make music and don’t want to get caught up in that clutter, who just want to give you some good music with out the extra overplayed out “Look how good my life is” Instagram visuals. I feel like that’s how High Highs make music.
Simply clicking the touch screen your thrown into a visual and audio universe with sounds, shapes, colours, designs invading your smart phone triggering all this dopness depending where on the screen you press.
